Skater Punks ;)

The skate park is so fun! The boys had such a great time! Its nice to have sunshine and warm weather, too. The park quickly became packed by the time school let out, so we decided to move to a safer area. Overall, the other "skater punks" were very respectful, careful and friendly. A set of brothers were particularly nice, and gave the boys some pointers.

St. Patricks Day Party

Our home school group had a St. Patrick's Day Party! There was a ton of green food including green mac and cheese, rice krispie treats, jello, guacamole, and of course, cupcakes and cookies!

Jr. Penguins Hockey

Today was the first day for the current season of Junior Penguins Hockey!

The boys had fun, and Rylan was excited to be a goalie. Surprisingly, Brayden volunteered to be center, so he got a lot of offensive action this morning as well. They were on opposing teams, each running the show for their side. Because Brayden shoots on Rylan daily in our basement, it wasn't possible for him to score today- Ry already knows all his tricks!

Hot Shots

Each Wednesday we go to Hot Shots for home school gym class.
There is a different sport each month. Currently, we are doing basketball for March Madness, and Rylan couldn't be happier! I'll get some footage of that next week. The class consists of one hour of free time (the boys usually roller blade) and one hour of sports instruction.

Johnstown Chiefs Hockey

I totally forgot to post this.
The boy's hockey team got to all go to a Johnstown Chief's hockey game and PLAY during the first intermission! If that wasn't exciting enough: they got to skate out on the ice and meet the players after the game!

Their big debut in an arena:

Brayden with the game goalie, #7 (I have no idea who he is- I tried to look him up but he's not on the roster)

Brayden's new idol, the goalie who wasn't playing at the game, but sat next to us. Brayden was thrilled to have him sign his goalie stick.
Ian Keserich

This guy, #13, Todd Griffith gave the kids a puck before the game began, and was SO great with all the kids. Scooping them up and skating them around. Great with kids, pretty rough with the opposing team, as in throwing punches rough.
